Dr. Haughton is the chief clinical architect of CognisightDX™. Dr. Haughton ran product and research at DxCG, the creators of the HCC methodologies. He brings nationally recognized predictive modeling and health care quality expertise to Cognisight, as well as more than 20 years of experience in health care research and clinical application as a physician and engineer.
Dr. Haughton continues as CEO and Chief Medical Officer of DocSite, a state-of-the art community-based population care management system and a physician-office patient registry system. He frequently speaks and publishes on the topic of information systems and workflow for effective disease and patient care management.
His clinical practice focused on inpatient and outpatient geriatric rehabilitation. A COPD rehabilitation program at the hospital took patients with an average of 25 inpatient days / year prior to the program and discharged them with an average of 3 inpatient days / year following completion. The program included successful implementation of group visits with mental health as well as physical health monitoring. Other programs included interdisciplinary care for patients with amputations, spinal cord injury and stroke.
Dr. Haughton earned both a Doctor of Medicine and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan. He performed his physiatry residency at the University of Washington, where he was chief resident. He also received an MS in Rehabilitation Medicine from the University of Washington.
