Cognisight Initial Validation Audits

The Initial Validation Audit (IVA) is a two-phase, regulatory audit required by the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Issuers operating on the Health Insurance Exchange with more than $15 million in total premiums as of the May 1, 2017 EDGE data submission and are offering coverage in Benefit Year 2017, are required to participate in the IVA and must partner with a qualified IVA vendor to conduct the audit. Cognisight was one of the first organizations to offer IVA services and served dozens of Issuers across the country during the 2015 dates of service pilot year audit.
